Hello,
I am trying to convert a pdf file to kfx document, yet I am having "KPF file is missing" error. The complete log is below. Language of the document is Turkish and this is the first time this error occurred. It would be great if someone can help me.   Code:

PDF's are fixed page format. You'll need to use "Command Line Interface (CLI)" to convert them into KFX, and not Calibre. KFX Output still needs to be installed in Calibre. Instructions are mentioned in the first post. Also read "Comics and Manga" part as it's explaining similar things.
Basically, you first convert PDF into KPF with "Kindle Create" program from Amazon (file-new project-print replica-choose pdf-export). Then you run the command in the directory where your KPF file is. For example, if you converted gckln0yk.pdf into gckln0yk.kpf. You'd then need to type: calibre-debug -r "KFX Output" -- "gckln0yk.kpf" "gckln0yk.KFX" -d If everything goes right, you'll get fixed page kfx file categorised as personal document. This can happen for extremely large and complex books. I suspect that is the case here. I recommend that you convert your PDF to AZW3 format in calibre and then check whether or not the result is readable using calibre's viewer. If so then that format will probably be a better choice than KFX for this particular book. |

Thanks for the plugin! I'm on Archlinux with 6.9.7-zen1-1-zen kernel and wine-stable 9.0-2. Current latest 3.83 version of Kindle Previewer 3 CLI crashes, however I've been able to find version 3.76 on the net, which works just fine: https://kindle-previewer.uptodown.co...rgar/121964890

I have searched for other reports of this, but haven't found any. So... I use Calibre & fanfiction downloader a lot to get fanfictions and other stuff onto my kindle (paperwhite, if it matters). And the KFX Output plugin to get them into the proper format for my kindle.
Occasionally, the Tables of Contents get screwed up. Mostly I sigh and put up with it, because the document isn't very long. Today I updated a book that had seventeen chapters, converted to KFX and put it on my paperwhite. The ToC showed chapters 3 and 9. The log from the calibre job doesn't show a problem at least not as far as I can tell - pasted below at the end of this post. I could just go back to using an AZW3 for this one - it works, I tried it. But I'd really rather have KFX, as that format does behave better on my device. ANy ideas on what and where to tweak to stop it? I don't seem able to edit the kfx files in calibre to fix the ToC that way, either. Unless I've missed something, which is always possible. Note: a couple hours ago I check the problem file in kindle previewer and it displayed, as it does on my device, with just the two chapters showing. I closed and deleted the kfx file. I just tried converting the epub to KFX again, it, to get a screenshot, and this time the previewer complained that the file extension was incorrect. It's .kfx. I haven't done anything that should have caused that - I left the computer alone before coming back to post this plea for help. So, what may be going on there?
