5 hours in... still building
![]() EDIT: 9 hours... EDIT: 15 hours : alignment of target type [-Wcast-align] CXXLD libWebCore.la ./libtool: line 1107: /usr/bin/ar: Argument list too long make[1]: *** [libWebCore.la] Error 126 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/local/src/webkit-1.8.1' Heh. Was worth a try EDIT: 5 days later, and several configurations down the line I still haven't given up on finding the right combination... Last edited by twobob; 10-25-2013 at 11:46 AM. |

by adding --config=/mnt/us/extensions/midori/ to the end of the big huge line calling midori, you can make some persistant changes to a config file, such as the directory to download files to. By using the dialogs, there is no simple way to choose that. midori –help-execute is supposed to show tons of options you can include in a config file.
in midori, I called about:versions and it shows some stuff.. So far it's awesome! Thanks! |

no worries.
Got a few things to fix and add to the next candidate. not least a tap-out on the power button Gonna go with lipc-wait-event for that. Also have to subscribe to a few new webkit events. Burned yesterday attempting to recompile webkit - nasty process, that I'm still struggling with, error upon error, the joy. overally it's a nice bit of kit when we get it locked down should be very serviceable. Appreciate the feedback. |

What is the 0.4 changelog? Just to know what to test (not full changelog, only main fix as maybe the upload etc.)

Ah ok.
Let's remember for the next releases to put: -c /mnt/us/extensions/midori-settings parameter in the runin script also ![]() |

so the only solution would be if we had a REAL native arm device to build it on... ![]() ![]() I figure in about 4 or 5 days it will be finished... ;P maybe... In the interim I will get back to other bits and bats. Heh. Special Thanks to KNC1 without whom this project would have stalled. EDIT: Okay so researched NBD swap and sshfs ccache will rebuild like: Quote:

Well, the most crafty ARM devices to build things on are modern Android phones/tablets, bringing quadcores, up to 2 GHz and 2 GByte of RAM.
This is why using cross-compilers really is worth the hassle sometimes... |

some of the stuff has become far more affordable of late. It's not the time aspect so much, as the supporting structures... And since I HAVE to run it make -j 1 anyways... in fact the kindle is not that much slower than my PC ![]() ![]() You are obviously right. but where is the fun i that? |
