I've seen pictures of "chain pickerel", and those look like pike. But what we call pickerel up here don't. More importantly, they taste way better than pike, and don't have those nasty pitchfork bones in them. "Pike" wouldn't be a bad choice for Canadian fish, but "Pickerel" is a good choice.

And now I know far more than I ever wanted to know about Canadian fish. I think I'll go back to whistling that Monty Python song. But that of course makes me wonder, if I'm going to slap someone with a fish in Canada, pike or a pickerel? |

Borrow a book (choosing Kindle for the format) on your computer or smart device. You're then taken to Amazon to complete the transaction. Once done, the book is now in the cloud. From your Kindle ereader, turn wifi on, go to the cloud and download your book. That's it.

The way they announced it initially, when Rakuten bought Kobo, and the way they briefly describe it in the article linked in this thread, makes me hopeful that we'll have something built in to the Kobo firmware that will let us bypass the need to use anything other than the Kobo itself. This would, of course, not be true for the iOS and Android reading apps, but devices using those have the means to utilize Overdrive already, as long as the app is able to access the downloaded file that should work.

Hey guys, great news!! GoodEreader hasn't predicted a new Kobo being released AFTER Mothers' Day! If they're always wrong then that basically means that a new ereader is on the way!

Depends on how badly you want to hurt them. The spiny fins on pickerel could produce some nasty cuts. Slapping someone with a pike would be gentler, as long as the wicked teeth weren't involved.
