Smith, E.E. "Doc": The Galaxy Primes v3.0 2007-08-19
The Galaxy Primes (1965) A novel by E E 'doc' Smith Quote:
P.S. There is another version up on MobileRead, but according the PG this is a new version in the last 24 hours of the posting of this one. The HTML is there now. So my guess is that it is a finished edition as far as PG is concerned. |

Only the magazine versions are PD for E. E. Smith. The recent repost to PG is probably only a fix to the text.

Probably the manybooks version. They snatch the text before Distributed Proofreaders has finished it.

Er, the quote is from your original post in this thread, Jon; so the question is where you got it from . Did you type it in manually, and it was just a typo?

The text that's not in error is not in the book as well. I searched for "the ship was called" and found nothing for that phrase.

Jon,
Perhaps I'm missing something here, but if you read the original post in this thread, that "the ship was called..." quote is in there. Where did that quote come from? It was you who quoted it, was it not? |

DUH! Yeah. I got it from Fantastic Fiction. I didn't proofread it at all. That blurb did not come from the book at all.

I've changed the blurb to something else so it no longer reads with all the typos.

I had no idea that my little post would produce such results. This thread is definitely a keeper.
