Comics Strip Snagger
Comics Strip Snagger allows you to select your favorite comic strips and to have them output in a quite mobile-friendly way. You can use it with any mobile online or offline browser.
For instance, if you want to download your favorite strips using iSilo, first use a desktop browser to select your desired strips (hold the CTRL key to select multiple comics), and then write down the resulting URL in iSilo. For instance, I am using this link in my web clip collection. |

Nice. It's easy to configure. The comics channel in the WCC list requires more iSilo knowledge, but this one is as easy as it is simple. I'm having an issue with iSilo taking the URL because I want almost all of the offerings. Maybe I'll catagorize them somewhat, dailies and weeklies (or something).

You could always use my Comic Plucker script (Plucker not required, and don't forget to read the README file).
It hits the upstream comic sites, fetches the URLs from the pages, fetches the image link from each comic page, and drops them onto your local drive, each in its own separate file, and then builds a master index.html file that links to all of them (sorted in order). It works great for me.. I rewrote the Python one in Perl because I wanted it to be "self-healing", so I wouldn't have to go maintaining lists of links, urls, images and comic titles. This one populates itself from the upstream comic site directly. Have fun with it, and if you have fixes/suggestions, let me know. |

Can't see link
I just stumbled across this and its exactly what I've been looking for. However, I can't seem to get it to work as described in this thread. The comics I select show up, but no matter what comics I select, the URL always reads "h__p://isnoop.net/comics/index.php?comics_" which always takes me to the main selection page. Am I missing something here? I actually tried copying the sample link Colin listed in his post, and then manually editing the names of the comics I want by trial and error, but I couldn't get Calvin & Hobbes to work. I know this thread is a little dated, but does anybody use this to generate a link for Isilox? I need some help here. Thanks!

Problem is that the form uses a POST instead of a GET request. This means you won't see a bookmarkable URL in the address bar.
To get around this, you have to encode the parameters by hand. For instance, to get Calvin & Hobbes and Garfield use: http://isnoop.net/comics/index.php?comics[]=Calvin%20%26%20Hobbes&comics[]=Garfield |

For some reason now, the Calvin and Hobbes link stopped working. IsiloX just pulls the link to the external site. I don't know what changed. I can still get the comic to pull up when I run the site on the web, but IsiloX has stopped fetching it based on the link I've been using for months. Weird...
