That's why I suggested applying the update again. I have had it fix weirdness in a couple of cases.

Does anyone else have a problem with their PW6.8 not showing the top menu screen if you close the kindle with a book open. I get it constantly and the only way out of the book is a restart. I’m on 5.16.21.

I haven’t had this problem on my 6” Kindle 2022.

I've had this problem several times with my Oasis 3. Sometimes it can be solved by swiping from the top, going into settings and back again. Other times I had to reboot.

The same problem, with a K/Paperwhite 6.8.
If you're not mistaken, the problem has been there since the last two firmwares.
Let's hope they fix this annoying bug.

May have something to do with rolling out viewing-sticky-notes-on-other-kindles feature (if it is to be a feature). But if so, it's not enabled yet.

Hi guys, was wondering about my battery life.

i charged it to 99% it was 11p.m. now it's 11a.m it's at 95% so like 4% for 12 hrs? is it normal? or i'm being paranoid because of the new update 5.16.21?

After an update, it is going to re-index all of the content you have on the device. That will cause more than usual battery drain until it is finished doing that.

Also, even when it first shows 100% it's not full, it's just full "enough". Use an in-line USB power meter and you will see that it spends 30 minutes to a few hours trickle charging that last amount before it stops pulling power, even after the light goes green. Charge percents are only estimates anyway, and in my experience Amazon has a long history of not showing "true" charge status.
