Using the kobopatch.yaml overrides does require you to check the new release read.me file to catch any patches that have been removed or added. Still a lot less work than using the individual .yaml files.

Also looking at the thread for the patches will say that's added/removed.

Not really interested in doing so. My plate is already pretty full and I do not wish to add more work.
Perhaps you might volunteer to do so? |

The Libra 2 is a different firmware version (4.38.23038) from the Clara BW firmware version (4.40.23081).

@hatuluang and @sparjoy Thank you both for helping with patch offsets where the patch still works but just needs to know where to be applied.

It worked! Thank you very much sparajoy. The default bedtime for the ComfortLight is 9:00, and I prefer it to be earlier. The patch allows for that. Your help is much appreciated. |

I'm looking at the patch for "Hide Browser from Beta Features":
Hide browser from beta features: - Enabled: no - Description: Hides the built-in browser from beta features. - ReplaceBytes: Base: "N3SettingsExtrasView::N3SettingsExtrasView(QWidge t*)" Offset: 1530 FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "Device::isParentalControlEnabled() const"} ReplaceH: 4F F0 01 00 - ReplaceBytes: Base: {Sym: "SelectionMenuController::setupMainOptions()"} Offset: 194 FindInstBLX: {SymPLT: "Device::isParentalControlEnabled() const"} ReplaceH: 4F F0 01 00 It seems that in the "SelectionMenuController" the web browser/wikipedia access is in two places, not just one and this only removes it from one place. Right now it's removed from the drop-down box when you press/select a word, but there's also a dictionary definition popup with the Wikipedia & Web browser logos that are still present/enabled. Is it the same "Base" and just need to find the right "Offset" to remove it from the definition box? Thanks. |

You would need to locate the function that controls the dictionary pop-up window and edit that function, too.

You would probably need to use Ghidra to disassemble or decompile the binary. You could also use IDA, but the free version is limited to x86, so you'd have to pay to get ARM support.
