Help with copyright issue
Hi All,
Someone use Calibre to rip an ebook verison of my late father's book, convert it to PDF, and distribute it. I am wondering if there is a way to findout who did this. We actually have a good idea of who it was, but we need confirmation or some sort. An IP address or a Calibre registration name etc. Can someone please help. The people using his medically oriented book are using it to con people into working with them by using the book to create the appearance of a connection to my late father and his work. The children of the families who get conned will be the most effected by this. Please help. |

Calibre requires no registration, and I doubt it records IP addresses of its users. You'd probably have more luck checking the distribution channels/sites.

Only a noob Pirate would leave fingerprints on a rip.
Calibre only logs the date and version into the OPF metadata. |
