ANOTHER nightly OTA bomb?
It's been more than a month since I last tried updating my KOReader from the dev channel. That did not work at all, just kept crashing the device so I gave up. I just tried again with what I assume is a different nightly, same result. Crash log rar'd as it exceeds the allowable size for log and/otr txt files

That'll keep happening until you update manually. It looks like you had the misfortune of updating in the ~3 days that bug existed. https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/12115

That's sort of expected from running bleeding edge.

The ideal place to seek solutions for bleeding edge solutions should be git.

Thanks. I have barely used my Sage since that last attempt, will update manually tomorrow

I have few issues with the nightlies generally, and the devs are good enough to tolerate my occasional biug posts here. You have the distinction of being the first to say "not here". The UI here is MUCH more U-friendly than at github in my opinion, so I will not "git"
