Jon... This is talking about a go package used in UMCaGED and is not related to the python code in calibre.

The koboutils module has been updated. I'll have to fire up my build box and see if that's all that was needed.

I built an updated version with the newer koboutils. This seems to resolve the issue as it loads on my LibreColour now.
No other changes made to the source. A build of that can be found here if anyone wants to try it https://github.com/Desterly/Kobo-UNC...bo-UNCaGED.zip |

On Kobo mini (with GLO firmware 4.31.19086), when running Kobo-UNcagED, the browser opens, but then nothing happens.
ku.log: ... Code:
[Kobo-UNCaGED] 2024/06/07 07:41:25 accept tcp 127.0.0.1:8181: accept: function not implemented Jun 07 07:41:56 [Kobo-UNCaGED] Disabled loopback interface Any idea why it doesn't run on the mini? |

After running Kobo-UNCaGED (Libra H2O, FW 4.31.19086 ) sometimes the synopsis of books that have no synopsis is filled with that of another book. It's the same synposis from another book in all books that should have an empty synopsis which shows up in "View Details" context menu instead of "No synopsis available for this item".

Here's the consolidation I would like to see: 1. a Calibre plugin that implements Calibre-Web's "kobo.com API masquerade" approach and adds those routes to Calibre's Content Server. (This way we don't need to set up and run a whole other service, etc etc) This plugin would also create an endpoint to receive annotation data and properly add it to Caliber's annotations system. 2. "UNCaGED" can then focus on configuring the relevant options it already does (and not have to worry about all the syncing etc because Kobo now does it). 3. "UNCaGED" also integrates "KoBuddy" to access annotations etc on the Kobo device and send them to the above described Caliber plugin's API. This would give us the foundation for a proper, contemporary "mobile service" user experience for Kobo ereaders (which don't use the Kobo store etc). Bonus: a one-time migration script to push existing annotations from DavidFor's (much beloved but I am getting worried!) "Annotations" plugin into Caliber's Annotations. |

In brief, Kobo API syncs books to the device 'natively', and KoboUNCaGED handles KoboTouchExtended (KTE) and Calibre metadata, covers, and annotations with these books (which is the present gap). The backend would also be some kind of auto-conversion with KTE, and preserving the metadata settings there would be brilliant. |

I'm not able to send books to my device's (Kobo Touch N905B, firmware 4.38.23038) SD card, even with the "Prefer SD Card" option enabled. When Kobo UNCaGED connects, only the device's internal storage appears in Calibre; there's no SD card available (the SD card is available when connected by a USB cable, though). When I send a book over it goes straight to the internal storage. Is there something I'm missing that I need to configure?
