Custom CSS Stylesheets for Calibre's Viewer

Hi, I am wondering if it is possible Calibre Viewer to keep 1 or 2 lines per page scrolling?

Hi Kovidgoyal,

I am already in the flow mode.
When I use "Page Down" or "Page Up" all I get, at best, a line cut in half horizontally transferred from the previous page.

ah right yes it is hardcoded to do page height - 10px. You can change that by patching line 166 in flow_mode.pyj increasing the 10 to something bigger.

@3-WVI: Note that you are running a calibre version more than a year old. Any fixes/changes are done in the latest version. In addition, the problem you are having might already have been fixed.

Also, distro-supplied versions of calibre are not supported.

I'm not a CSS expert, but you could try:

table + p {margin-top: 5em !important;}

(I have p + p {margin-top: 0.30em !important;} to add spacing between paras)

At last I bought new PC and could update my Calibre, but I the viewer does not behave. Tweaked margins and text (2-pge layout) to my liking, but after adding background picture the text has no margins. What I'm trying to achieve is the all area covered with image, and text with 10-20 px margins.

On the Page Layout settings, the 'Change the page margins (in pixels) below' seems to set the background area - only with value 0 is all background covered with image (jpg)

'Change the maximum screen area (in pixels) used to display text' also changes the image size, and text area

What Im I doing wrong?.

Hi I looked through the wiki and this forum but didn't see this mentioned, is there a way to make the font size of headers or footers larger? My eyes just aren't what they once were. I have trouble making out some numbers, in the clock or progress.

That font size comes from the general UI font size as I recall. You can run the inspector tool from the viewer controls and that should show the font size as 100%. The CSS stylesheet doesnt have access to style viewer UI elements such as header/footers, only the actual content.
