That release predates the new devices. http://build.koreader.rocks/download/nightly/

All the heavy lifting should have been done by the install script. Last edited by DNSB; 07-03-2024 at 02:00 PM. |

This is the nightly file I used for my Kobo Clara BW that didn't work: koreader-kobo-v2024.04-221-g6d73442ec_2024-06-30.zip I extracted it directly into the koreader folder in .adds I could try the process again but I'm pretty sure that I used the correct version first time, no? |

You need to change/replace the initial koreader folder with koreader folder from nightly update. The straightforward way is to copy koreader folder from nightly update and paste it on .adds folder, It will replace the koreader folder from the initial installation. What I've been doing is to merge the latest Plato and KOReader nightly into the OCP package to make the install easier when I am checking operation on my Libra Colour. I've attached a sample to this message.
Edit: removed link to my updated package since the official package has been updated. Last edited by DNSB; 07-12-2024 at 04:35 PM. Reason: Edit: removed link to my updated package |

is Koreader supported by the new kobo bw? I tried installing and I get some errors:
" [KFMon] Internal storage unavailable, bye!" appears on the bottom when device is off. When I try to start I get "[KFMon] Koreader Launched koreader.sh ", however nothing happens for a few seconds and then the device restarts or at least there is a screen with three dots in the middle (loading). Can anyone assist on how I can make it work? I have MacOS Monterey and Kobo version is 4.39.23027 |

As far as I have found from my testing on a Libra Colour, the latest nightlies from KOReader work.
If you look at message #1103 in this thread, there's a link to my modification of the OCP installer for KOReader and Plato with versions that should work on a Clara BW (Plato does not yet support the Libra Colour/Clara Colour). |

And the installer would be the same one which is in the first post in this thread? That is for mac. and should it be in the same folder as the extracted plato files? |

Oops, I thought I'd refreshed those with the latest Plato, my bad .
I've just bumped the packages with a current KOReader nightly to address the lack of support for MTK devices, too. |

You could manually copy the contents of the plato directory in the .zip file over the files in the .adds/plato directory on your Kobo. Or you could use the installer script from the 2nd message in this thread.
