I offered func the Firehose loader, but as a newb they can't receive PMs. I've asked for mod help on this. |

Looks like I'm late to the party. Can the loader be used on the GO 7?

Hey, you Go users! Please try/use the Firehose loader here (new version):

I have a Go 10.3, and I tried to root it just yesterday. My main computer is a Mac. Using the loader Renate provided, I had no difficulty in getting my Go into edl mode. I was able to get my boot.img and had Magisk do its work on it. My efforts came to a halt when I tried to boot my Go from my Mac with the Magisked boot.img. It looks like fastboot on my Go doesn't recognize flash or boot commands.
Soooo.... Is there some other way that would allow me to complete this operation with my Mac? Or, do I need to use a Windows device and the eel utility that Renate has available? If I need to go Windows, I'll need to set that device up for adb. Would Minimal adb and Fastboot suffice, or would it need the whole SDK installed? The edl commends on Windows seem to be slightly different than on the Mac. Could someone offer a step-by-step thing as to how I'd go about this on Windows, or does such a guide exist already? Rooting my Go isn't a must, but it would be nice to have. Thanks for your help! Edit: I had recently installed the latest update to my Tab Mini C which had been rooted. I then did this edl process on the Tab Mini C (which worked flawlessly before) and find that I run into the same "command unknown" error when I try to fastboot boot or flash the Magisk-edited boot.img. Looks like Onyx is doing this to more devices! Last edited by downeaster59; 10-19-2024 at 01:51 PM. |

The fashionistas (who?) have decided that fastboot doesn't go well with the fall collection.
You can use an EDL client (even the Python one) to flash the boot_a or boot_b partition. |

The well-known generic Python one is https://github.com/bkerler/edl/
Although I must have found fault with it to write my own native Windows one. http://www.temblast.com/edl.htm |
