archiving things in collections

I archived several items which happened to be in a collection and now the collection still claims it contains as many things as it ever did, but if I go into it, it actually contains the expected smaller number.

Has this always happened? I may never have archived a book in a collection before.

The next time my kobo (sage) reboots I'll see if the official size of the collection has gone down, I suppose.

I've noticed discrepancies in collection counts before. What I usually do is change from collections to series or books, then back again, and that seems to refresh it. You could also try rebooting.

Worst case scenario, I have had collections become corrupt. I could remove every book in the collection, and it would still show a number of books were in the collection. In those cases, I would just delete the collection and re-create it. However, that has only happened a few times in the numerous years that I've owned Kobo ereaders.

I think this is the first time I've paid attention to how many books a collection said it had vs how many it had since I knew I was archiving things in a collection. I suppose I could unarchive them, delete them from the collection, and archive them again, but it doesn't really matter.
