Poke5S successor?

I've just heard about the Poke5S successor on the grapevine.
Supposedly it's a Carta 1300 screen.

There is a 3.5.1 update out for the Poke5S, but that's a Chinese model.
Same with the Chinese Poke5 (no suffix).
What US users have is actually the Poke5P.

I see on https://shop.boox.com/products/poke5 that the old Poke5P is sold out in the US.
One never knows if that's wavering supply or end-of-life.

Thank you for your update. Poke5S firmware does not has mutil languages, so do you have a link to download Poke5 Lite firmware to flash it to Poke5S devices

Usually the Lites have a different processor.
And that requires a different Firehose loader.

May I ask you how to acquire the full firmware file? My poke 5s just got an update to 2024-07-01_20-09_3.5.3_7f5c78ff3, I managed to get the partial update.upx file, however inside it contain a broken boot.img (only 5MB in size) and therefore can't be patched in Magisk

Perhaps they haven't had a full firmware package yet, my fingerprint is now Onyx/Poke5S/Poke5S:11/2024-07-01_20-09_3.5.3_7f5c78ff3/8813:user/release-keys

I also notice they change from dev-keys to release-keys, will this affect anything?

It's probably an incremental patch on boot.
If it went through correctly you might just be able to pull the patched boot off your device.
Is this thing a QCS2290 (SCUBAPIIOT)?
Did you get EDL working on it?
Did the latest patch screw up the bootloader (fastboot)?

No, the thing boot normally, and yes, it is scubapiiot. I haven't try the edl method yet however.

Yes, it boots, but try out that fastboot command.
The NoteAir3 just got an update that broke that.

Will this affect anything as I'm hesitant on "fastboot erase"? Also I did reboot to fastboot to try booting the old magisk patched boot.img and I can confirm fastboot work well.

Edit: I tried the fastboot erase fishheads, it came out like this, does this mean the abl's gimped?

Ok, as long as you did that after the update.

These commands do nothing but will tell you if the commands are still supported.

fastboot erase fishheads

fastboot flash fishheads anyfilethatexists

anyfilethatexists = something in the current directory that will only get read.
