Trying to access the author URL from a python test script I'm getting 403, even if I'm being able to see the page without accessing goodreads, I don't know why.

If you want to test this version, I've changed the way to access goodreads a bit (I think I only had to add some field) and it's working. I've made another changes so the translation texts work. I've been using perhaps it around one month and it usually works (it has the same quirks with some authors/books that the original version).

Neither do I, that's the reason of my previous comment: "it has the same quirks with some authors/books that the original version". I don't really know if I'm going to check it, sorry, because it appears rarely and it doesn't really repeat the next time.

I don't know if this version will solve this error, it usually works so I've broken nothing (BTW, I've made a change too because it didn't work fine if the character "'" was in the author's name).

I would always run the plugin with the option "Set author links" unchecked. This, because it would often throw errors if this was enabled. Actually this option seemed a bit redundant to me, as I have the "Clicking on author names" Calibre built-in setting set to Goodreads.

Can't tell if the error Wiggo mentioned has anything to do with that option, but I just did some quick tests with "Set author links" enabled, running this version, and all ran smoothly. Thanks

Has anyone ever had the problem that if we search for the biography of a single author, calibre freezes.
But if we search for several, it doesn't?
