When I use the calibre funtion is generating a second file as "Book" and not document (as show on the picture):



1. Kindle:\documents (Send by WordDumb)
2. Kindle:\documents\Downloads\Items01 (STK)

Due to STK (Send to Kindle website cloud) manage the files as document let it me save my highlight trought all my devices. I was looking a way to adapt the WordDumb plugin where I could continue use the sync funtion of STK but adding the WordDumb files manually (.kll, .asc).

Not sure if that could be possible.

I emphasys that Calibre + WordDumb pulgin is working correctly but as part of calibre, it dont recognize the files sended for sync Amazon.

I been searching around but can't seem to find an answer. Is there a way to shorten the amount of text grabbed by the plugin when creating x-ray? I don't need to know the entire first part of a wikipedia article (which is a lot) I only need the first few lines or first paragraph at most.

Only books have word wise and x-ray features, not document type file. And these created word wise and x-ray files can't be synced.

Russian to English worddumb generation is not possible with new releases. I can use older version with no problem but I just wanted to let you know.

Please first select English as definition language then select Russian as book language to view word wise data. Book language is not a savable option, the definition language option will be saved.

Hi! I'm currently using Paperwhite 3 with Koreader installed. I turn off wifi all the time because of automatic updating. Is there anyway to manual copy epub files generated by worddumb to kindle? I prefer reading by Koreader

The EPUB book file created by this plugin is at the same folder as the original book file. You can move the file manually to Kindle.

Hello all,

I tried everything to make the plugin work but I am stuck at this step:

"Can't find Python. Please read the document on how to install Python."

IIRC, the Python installer does not add Python to the PATH environment variable by default.

Open a command prompt window, enter python and hit Enter.
If you're getting this error message:

'python' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

reinstall Python and make sure to check the Add Python to PATH option.

Thank you for getting back to me. Python is indeed installed correctly, and I have checked said option during the installation process. However, I am still getting the same error.

Here's the location I am adding as the executable is there:

"C:\Users\dtale\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Pyth on311\python.exe"

This plugin uses Python launcher on Windows(the `py` command), it should be installed by default.

Users shouldn't set the Python binary path if Python is installed with default install methods listed in the document: https://xxyzz.github.io/WordDumb/installation.html

Maybe the Python path you're using is not a valid path? You could try to remove that path from the plugin settings.
