Cloning an unresponsive K3 ?
Given
- A K3 that is completely unresponsive, but connects by USB to my Linux box. - Said Linux box not running Kubrick, prog freezes at the first "Enter". - I have another, in fact several other, k3 that work properly. Would it be possible to connect both to the Linux box, and simply run as root something like: Code:
dd if=/dev/goodkindle of=/dev/badkindle bs=4M status=progress Last edited by rolgiati; 06-07-2024 at 10:12 AM. |

The OS is on a different partition than the one exported over USB, which is formatted as *FAT and only contains user data.

So there is another partition, that is hidden from gparted or similar... Would it become visible installing the USB network hack ? |

That hack needs to be installed on Kindle OS, not on computer host. And you stated that your Kindle is "completely unresponsive"...
