Can't find "USB connection notification"...
Manual says I should be able to left swipe to get "notifications" and should see something called the "USB connection notification." All I get is the time and it saying "no notifications."

The manual could be out of date.
More importantly, does the USB connection work?

You won't see them unless you connect to something suitable with the correct kind of cable or adaptor.

That's why it's called a Notification.
