Difference between Smashwords Epub check and Sigil et al epub check?
May 2024 ~ I have 10 epubs which pass Sigil (april 2024 version) epub check then fail on Smashwords Epub check.

To pass Smashwords Epub check I've reformatted the epub with LibreOffice 7.6, Jutoh 2, Mac Pages 14, Google docs. Have stripped a lot of text using an onine html stripper. No luck. Smashwords Epub checkstill returns errors.

The good question now seems to be what is the difference between Smashwords Epub check and Sigil et al epub check?

Smashwords probably uses a much earlier version of epubcheck. Where as Doitsu's plugin will check and update the plugin with the latest epubcheck when needed. Are you making an epub2 or an epub3?

Please show a screenshot of the Smashwords epubcheck failures and people here can help decipher them.

I've no problem with smashwords epub check, or Google's or Amazon's. I upload the same epub2 to all three.

We need to know what the error is.

Some kinds of epub3 won't work with some of those (depending on the features used).
