Notes for all the appereances of a word
Hello,
Wouldn't it be nice to have the option of adding a note to all the occurrences of a word or group of words in a book? For the moment being, as you all know, you can add a note to a selection you make. I find it useful to have the same for all the words in the book. Let's say you are reading a novel with a lot of characters. In order to remember something about one of them, you could add a little information that would be available every time the name of the character appears thru the book. What do you think? Thanks, |

Given the way annotations work this isnt really feasible in an efficient way. But at least in the calibre viewer, you can kind of get this functionality by using the highlights panel. Create your notes the first time you see the name/word/whatever. Then your note will be present in the highlights panel where you can just search for the word to quickly see its associated note.
This is obv not as convenient as just double clicking but its not too bad. You double click, click the copy button then right click in the search box in the highlights panel and paste and press enter. |
