Hello, could you send me please the image for the Kobo N249 Clara HD (4.38.21908) ?

Do I need to customize the serial number or just preparing an sd card with the image should be enough?

You can just prepare an µSD card with the image which will give you a serial number of N249000000000. To modify that serial number, before copying the image to your new µSD card, use a hex editor to change the serial number at 0x200 into the image. The serial number is found multiple places in the image but the one at 0x200 seems to be the one that matters.

Unless you are doing something that needs the serial number, not really. For me, it shows up as part of the filename when I use KoboUtilities automated database backup and is also required for downloading preview updates.

Thanks to firmware you sent me my Kobo Clara HD is unbricked! Works like a charm! And was upgraded from 8Go to 32Go!

Good to hear. I'm also happy that you got the right image since you asked for a Touch 2.0 N905C image (the Touch 2.0 is a N587, the N905C is one of the original Touch versions) so I went with the 905C image.

Dear,

I would like to receive a SD card image for the Kobo N249 Clara HD (4.38.21908). Original SDcard got corrupted, device itself seems to work fine.
