How to change the default highlight color?

I only found custom_highlight_styles in viewer-webengine.json. Where is the default highlight format stored?

Any help is greatly appreciated

You cannot change default highlight colors. You can only create custom styles. Simply use the custom styles instead of default ones if you dont like the default ones.
