Help w/Glowlight 4e Root

Hi! I've been following this Reddit post with trying to bypass the Android Development Settings password. Trying to install the update always results in an "Install Failed" and I've also browsed around the forum looking for more updates.zips, but none have worked. Does anyone have fix for this or any way I can bypass the Android settings password? Any info would be appreciated.

One poster mentioned the password for for the Glowlight 4 is NOOK-BNRV1100 so the Glowlight 4e by extension is likely to be NOOK-BNRV1000 though that logic may be allowing me to jump to wild conclusions.

glowlight 4e needs a different update.zip than glowlight 4.
This one http://su.barnesandnoble.com/nook/pi....29/update.zip should work.

Basically the same as most devices these days: Get a copy of the stock boot image (somehow), use the Magisk app to modify it, then use fastboot to flash it to the boot partition.

You might get the stock boot image from an update or use dd if you have (at least temporarily) rooted ADB or using a low-level loader (but I don't know Allwinner that well).

I haven't used B&N for years and I used a shell console on the UART to copy the boot image.
