Any chance you could document the process? I believe a lot of people will be willing to help to get new versions out quicker.

I just have to have time to do this. I've not had the time. One problem is I don't know how the increased weight translates to different programs to get the same weight.

Perhaps a release of the 6.2 version without added weights might be alright seeing as how most e-readers support adding it manually?

Also, as per the official website, the 6.2 does not have any significant changes to line spacing, glyph widths, or kerning versus the 6.1 to avoid layout changes, so the modifications might be easier than anticipated.

Howdy, I'm trying to use CharInk6SP on my Libra 2 and I'm finding the regular weight is just extremely heavy, even with the newer font weight slider all the way to the left (firmware v4.38) Is it my device that's at play or is is just quite heavy?

Pics attached. This is a kepub. The italics that are rendering are much more what I like. The "before" in the second pic is Minion Pro Med which is also my speed.

I'm going in circles around font names and fontforge too, so it could be me. Can't currently get Noto Sans to render thinly, either, though that's off topic.

There are two versions. One with added weight for devices such as a Pocketbook that do not have the ability to adjust font weight and one version with no added weight.

The one you want is ChareInk6SP NoWeight. With that version, there's no need to reduce the weight and some (including myself) add weight.

If you are using the version with no added weight, try ePub and not KePub in case it's an issue with KePub.
