A dog pile happens when all the dogs present, rush to greet a visitor, whom ends up under a pile of dogs. Overwhelmed by dogs

Perhaps a quick Google/DuckDuckGo/Bing/whatever search on dogpiling? Basically just means a bunch of people jumping in on top of a person/persons.

In this case, when you see a message such as "I've kept my calibre library in <fill in the cloud/NAS/nonlocal storage of your choice> for years and suddenly I'm getting errors.", you will probably see messages in reply pointing to the calibre and SQLite FAQs on storing the database on the network.

I am getting errors with my calibre library on a networked drive/NAS? and SQLite Over a Network, Caveats and Considerations are two popular links.

And yes, at this point in my life, I like that tag line.

A dogpile is what happens when the hounds catch their prey.
