How to fix weird page breaks?
I downloaded an epub and for the most part it's alright, but there's this weird page break for all of the chapter titles and the footnotes and I got no clue how to fix it.
The chapter, the text and the footnotes all have their own html. Is there anyway to make it so they're all in one html? |

There is, but it’s not recommended. Just select all the files you want in the file list on the left, then right-click and select "merge".
It is default behavior on most readers to start a new html page on a new display page. Some readers also have an option to display as continuous scroll which can bypass the paging behavior. The downside to having one big html page is that readers load the book one html page at a time. The larger that page, the slower it is to load. On older, less capable, devices/apps that can be very noticeable/undesirable. Also, during the editing process it is much easier to keep things organized… usually every chapter and front/back matter on their own html page. Can you show an example of what you consider "weird"? There may be a better solution. |

I took their post to mean that each chapter's Title, Text, and Footnotes are separate xhtml files. If they're looking to combine each chapter's 3 files into one, the merge feature can accomplish that as well. It will just take multiple steps.
If they meant they want the entire book lumped into one monolithic xhtml file, then as already said; that's not recommended at all. |

If that’s the case the probably the quickest way is to merge ALL the chapter title, text, and footnotes into one big html THEN use regex to insert the Sigil split-marker before the chapter titles. F6 will then split all the chapters into their own file. |
