Try launching KOReader in no framework mode from KUAL.
PW1 was renowned for its quirks with UI being drawn |

KOReader on PW1 is basically unusable if you don't start it with "no framework" option. It would constantly reboot because out of memory issues. Even starting the kindlet version of KUAL (to then use it to start KOReader) is exercise in building patience, and that can also lead to OS reboot.
When my PW5 bricked itself and I was forced to read on my old PW1 those "open KUAL, start KOReader" gremlins annoyed me enough that I've sat down and define search bar commands ( ;ko, ;koa & ;konf) to be able to start KOReader without needing to use KUAL. |

I tried this method. there is no screensaver when the book goes to sleep. When you exit koreader, the book reboots. but I saw that if you open the book from the home screen, and not through kual and koreader, there is no such problem.

Yes, this is expected - in no framework mode everything Kindle is turned off, ibcluding screensavers. But at least you can read.
KPVbooklet is not supported at all, don’t use it |

I don’t use kpv booklet and it’s not installed. The ability to open books from the desktop appeared after installing librariansync. everything works fine and there are no problems.

This is exactly what KPVbooklet does
Again, don’t use that feature. Open books only from KOReader, or use it at your own risk (no support promised). |

LibrarianSync only lets you sort books into collections, it has nothing to do with KOReader itself.
