Well, I guess that's a good point. I didn't know what I was doing and took that risk since the repos were out of date and flathub was problematic.

Hope that doesn't get hacked or anything. Or pressured to put a back door on your machine.

Maybe run it in a vm?
Just save that command line locally. It rarely changes . What it fetches is the official files. Kovid knows what he is doing. AFAIK in 13 years, I have not heard of those files being hacked. Caution is good, but you are going a bit overboard
