Hi, my library is getting rid of their old Sony ereaders and I got one. What do I need to do to get books from Calibre to the ereader? Is there a plugin? When I plug in the ereader, it sees the computer, but I have not used a device with Calibre before.

Thanks.

The first battle is won. The computer see's it.
Did Calibre open up the Ondevice column?
(It should also show the device family near the lower Left on the status line)

Got It

I think I had plugged the reader in at the wrong time. Once I waited and plugged it in after launching Calibre, the icon showed up to transfer books. Thanks.

Great news.
Maybe Sony's are quirky, but the Calibre waits for the OS to announce a connected device. This seems to have gotten a bit slower after Windows connects, in the last few months.

The only times I have had issues was BOOTING with a connected device that the OS thought was 'bootable' and can't find the OS on it
