PW2 Not Readable or Mountable on Computer
Hey Everyone,
I'm currently trying to jailbreak a PW 2 following the instructions in this thread So far I have ensured the correct FW version, reset the kindle, and entered demo mode, using the secret gesture to get through to the menus. When going into the ;demo menu to sideload the jailbreak in, however, I cannot connect the kindle to any computer. I've tried numerous different USB cables, a Mac, and a Windows computer, and nothing can recognize it. The drive is showing up in disk utility just as an unreadable drive. Getting info prints the following Code:
Volume type : Uninitialized BSD device node : disk5 Connection : USB Device tree path : IODeviceTree:/arm-io/usb-drd2@2280000/usb-drd2-port-hs@02100000 Writable : No Is case-sensitive : No Volume capacity : 3,424,649,216 Available space (Purgeable + Free) : 0 Purgeable space : 0 Free space : 0 Used space : 3,424,649,216 Owners enabled : No Is encrypted : No Can be verified : No Can be repaired : No Bootable : No Journaled : No Disk number : 5 Media name : Kindle Internal Storage Media Media type : Generic Ejectable : Yes Solid state : No S.M.A.R.T. status : Not Supported Thanks |

Looks like if you go back through the resell process and then go back to demo mode after it will mount properly.
