Amazon US Prime $5 credit for $50 e-gift card purchase

I happened to hover over the Prime tab on my Amazon US home page this morning, and found an offer for a $5 credit if I buy $50 worth of e-gift cards. It's billed as a "Mothers Day" offer, but I don't see any specific time frame actually mentioned.

I have sent myself a $50 e-gift card, and will come back and update if I have any issues getting the $5 credit.

And since it says at the top "Congrats, you're eligible for this offer", I suspect it may be a generic link. Maybe someone else can come back here and post if it worked for them.

Oh, and I forgot to add the screenshot from when I purchased the e-gift card. Which is re-assuring...

The generic link worked for me, thank you. Except that I didn't get the popup in your screenshot after I purchased the gc!

Honestly, if this doesn't work I'm going to let it go, although I'll be annoyed. It's just too much trouble these days to chase down CS when things go wrong -- and they're going wrong a lot lately.

After clicking the apply button it takes you to the generic link posted by sufue, so you may need to apply it before you can get the credit. However, the link I posted still shows the apply to account button when revisiting it, so it might be okay if you didn't. I'd suggest applying it first, just to be extra cautious.

Oh, and I forgot to come back yesterday and indicate that my credit came within a very short time after the purchased gift card was issued. So it did work for me.

(But as @Manabi mentions, I also went through the link and "clicked to apply"...)

Used the provided link but did NOT get the $5. I saw a big banner indicating I was eligible but no button to "apply" the credit to my account.
No big deal, just providing input.

I got the card yesterday, and got the $5 credit pretty much instantly. The egift card came about fifteen minutes later.

Did you page down a bit? For me the "apply" button was almost off the page as it first loaded...
