It is never leaving that single machine.
There is no translation to a public network address (the only way you could access the public network).
So you have to either run that application's server on that same machine;
or
You have to route that address:port on that machine to a gateway that does the required translations;
or
You have to do the gateway operations on that machine.

Translation: The problem is within your local networking.
Just as I first told you: PEBCAK

if the problem is in my local networking, why if I connect my phone, instead of the kindle, to the RPI access point I can join that page?

why WebLaunch crash also with the kindle connected to home wifi tryng to join www.mobileread.com?

The PaulFreund version shouldn't work. My fork might. Try it and report pls.

I recommend installing USB networking before as there is no way to get out of the application without pressing the power button and restarting the Kindle

Hey, I know this is an old thread, but any chance anybody has this working on modern jailbreak, I'm on PW2?

When I open WebLaunch I get "Application Error" dialog and kicked back to home screen.

I'm trying to use WebLaunch as I need a fullscreen web page for a dashboard project.
