"The docs app will be removed in november 2022"

Replaced by Files App ?

Just a guess, but perhaps they will replace the separate Books and Docs apps with the regular Kindle for Android app that does both.

I have never really used the Docs app. Good riddance!

The Fire and Android apps have been virtually indistinguishable (including ability to access personal documents) for some time now. The only difference is that Android app doesn't support TTS, and (now) it lacks ability for in-app purchase (a blessing actually).

Current Fire Kindle app version: 14.67.100
Current Android Kindle app version: 8.67.0.100

Both Docs and Files are file managers. Docs is being replaced by Files. Amazon calls it 'an improvement'. You may have another term for it.
