Will the newest Amazon Fire HD8 10th Gen. run under Calibre 3.48?
Hi!
I'm new here, so I hope, I'm in the right forum. I use calibre under Win7 (version 3.48 now) since years for my over 9000 books now. I have 2 fire HD8 8th generation, but with the newest update from amazon I can't connect to calibre. It doesn't show my books, or when it does, it doesn't let me transfer new books to the fire. Anyway, since the display of my fire is getting milky, I was thinking of a new fire. Also HD8. The question is: Will the newest device run under calibre 3.48 WIN7, or should I try to get a refurbished HD8 8th generation (which I KNOW, it's running, as long as I don't make updates). |

Fires are MTP devices, these are supported using a generic driver, which has not changed in years, so things should just work with any MTP device.
