Arrow PWChess - Simple chess game for PW

I present pwchess! A simple chess game for Kindle Paperwhite. In fact is just what is coming out from my first attempt to program something for my new toy. There are other alternatives to play chess on the Kindle, but I wanted something simple. So I followed the instructions on this post and started my own implementation of a gtk gui for gnuchess.

It's not finished, the "options" menu has no options. You can not set the difficulty level. And there may be bugs. The code is a bit messy but I thought that someone could find it useful in some way.

I took the chess pieces from k3chess.

Attached: A screenshot, source code, and a tar.gz ready for KUAL. Just unpack it under extensions folder. "USE AT YOUR OWN RISK"

Newer versions to come after rainy days...

Thanks,

I know, it is an ancient thread.
Can't make it work on PW3 (5.9.7).
Throws this error if run from ssh:
Code:
$ /mnt/us/extensions/pwchess$ ./gnuchess
Can't open file "/mnt/us/test/xboard/share/gnuchess/gnuchess.ini": No such file or directory - using defaults

Maybe someone knows some good chess alternative?

P.S. Eboard Chess works! Needs new binary though.
