Clicking on an epub-link doesn't work

Hello,

I'm still using The Epub-Reader, anyone else ?

Clicking on an epub-link here at mobileread doesn't open the book anymore. The standard download-dialog is shown instead.

Is this another restriction of firefox???

In fact, there are about 200,000 Firefox and 65,000 Chrome users .

Yes, it is. Unfortunately, currently the only way to recognize an epub link in Firefox is looking at the "epub" extension. As this doesn't exist in the case of the mobileread download link, it doesn't work. The workaround is to store the file at first on your disk and open it then in EPUBReader.

Alternatively, you could use Chrome. The epub file is opened there automatically.

Hi mikelv,

thanks for the quick answer. Well, downloading it and open it is exactly, what I want to avoid. Maybe it's possible to create a option in the context menu? (right mouse button on the link?).

However, thanks for a great piece of software.
