This Just IN!!!

Sent a note to Ectaco on Monday asking about firmware updates for the JetBook Color V1, and this was the reply:

"Hello, Dan

Thank you for your email. No, there is no any chance. The project is
discontinued.

Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks.

Query from jetBook.net

Name: Dan Payment

Email: dpayment@hotmail.com

Message: Is there any chance that there will be an update to the firmware
for the jetBook Color V1 any time in the future? The current firmware is
getting pretty long in the tooth and could stand some serious tweaking!"

Screwed again! And given the original price, I doubt that there were e
enough sold to warrant some third party creating something new.

Their selling price suggests the devices are current and fully supported.

I still can't fathom why, when even the JB mini is still the price being asked at after all these years and no updates.

Exclamation jetBook Color V1 no longer supported by ectaco

What I saw on their site is that they are now selling V2 of the jetBook Color, version one is not being supported any further. Don't know what the hardware differences are between V1 & V2, so I don't know if the current version will work for the older one.
