Ok. If I start in a few days, I think I could finish it by mid-April, but I'll have to learn some GUI libraries first since all I know is Allegro which won't work now since I'll be using Lubuntu, not Windows, as my OS from now on.
To finish it that quickly, it's gonna look plain, but I guess that's a good thing (low resource Kindle). Last edited by BadukOnKindle; 03-27-2013 at 09:56 PM. |

twobob, while I write up an sgf editor, would you like to see what you can do with CGoban1? It's open source now that its author has moved on to better versions. CGoban1 is in C++ while CGoban3 (idk anything bout CGoban2) is CGoban1's successor and Java port, so unfortunately we're left with the old CGoban1. Even so, it is screen-ascetic so maybe you can fit it on a Kindle (once you get past the dreaded installation, of course)?

yeah maybe. It's not high on my list. I think I exhausted the possibilities without some serious code hacking and honestly I am not that interested in playing go. I might have a quick go at a cross compile though. At some point.
Surely these are projects for you to cut your teeth on though? What about you get started and ask for help? That's how they usually roll around here. |

Yeah, you're right. I'll see what I can do.
