Canada welcomes free intenet on Kindle 2
Canadians are now experiencing free internet on Kindle 2. Finally catching up to the service Americans have had since K2 first came out, Canadians can now use either Google or Wikipedia in the search bar to gain access to virtually any online site.
The K2 arial out preforms most cellphones and blackberries as I discovered on a cottage reunion weekend at a northern ontario cottage. The K2 was the only device able to find a signal. Turning the display sideways is a good idea to avoid the crouding that occurs when sites like gmail compress to fit the narrow screen. Another great bonus is the ability to finally use The Magic Catalog of Project Gutenberg E-Books. Books selected from the list download in under 5 seconds ready to go! All this for free! |

In other news, US elects Black president.
Seriously, web access has been free on the K2 in Canada for ages now. And you don't have to get to sites through Google or Wikipedia, just enter the URL in the URL bar (Menu -> Enter URL). But I'm glad you found it useful. |
