Where to buy (cheap) batteries for the Iliad(EU)
Hi everyone,
The batteries of my Iliad(v1) died recently(RIP), and the device has reached a point where I don't find reasonable to spend 150eur more on resurrecting it. I know the batteries can be replaced. I have read the threads which show how to do it, and seems doable and while I don't fear to break the device, I would like to give it a try. The problem is, I don't know where to find suitable batteries without paying outrageus shipping fees(I live on Spain). I have seen some LiPo batteries in dealextreme that seem to fit (like this one), but I'm not sure if the connector its the same or not. If someone could point me to a online store where I could buy them I would be very grateful. Thanks! |

I modded my iliad v2 with two batteries(about 2X capacity of the original), the protective circuit of the battery is already inside the iliad, what you need is to find two LiPolymer batteries and replace the original ones. the batteries are connected to the protective circuit via wires so you just have to solder the wires onto the corresponding electrodes.
the two batteries cost me 60RMB...about 6 Euro...I am in China |

Thanks for the answer. My main problem (the first one) is to obtain the batteries cheaply because the online stores I've found which sell appropiate batteries charge outrageous costs for shipping to the EU, since they are located in the US and only ship by fedex or other courier companies and not by ordinary mail.
