dark fantasy book WITH pictures but not comic!

hello, I am looking for a good dark fantasy novel that contains pictures inside of it; however it is not a comic book or manga completely, just a novel that has pictures, I tried google searching for this yet very difficult as it keeps suggesting comics and manga. i am also look for art style similiar to "the dark crystal game world building" where the sketches are loose and cool looking.

The Brothers Hildebrandt did _Urshurak_ along w/ Jerry Nichols:

16 paintings and ~80 b/w illustrations --- not sure if there's an ebook version or no.

There was an illustrated edition of Mervyn Peake's _Gormenghast recently as an ebook --- Amazon Kindle link:

There was also Poul Anderson's _The Demon of Scattery_ with Mildred Downey Broxon, illustrated by Michael Whelan and Alicia Austin --- not sure if it's had an ebook release yet, but it's well worth tracking down.
