Very Sad News; the death of davidfor
I'm not sure how to say this, but I've just heard from David's son (Declan) that David Forrester (known to us as davidfor) passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 24th.
This will leave a gigantic hole in this eReader community. Peter Sent from my Pixel 4a using Tapatalk Last edited by pdurrant; 09-04-2022 at 03:36 PM. |

Very sad for his family and big loss for everyone.
A great contributor of advice and Calibre plugins (At least: Kobo Touch Extended, Kobo Utilities, Annotations). |

Very sad to hear. His contributions to the Kobo community via his presence on the forum and his plugins are immeasurable.

David helped countless people recover their bricked Kobo readers. That's in addition to all his other contributions and insights he abundantly shared with the community. He will be sorely missed. RIP David

David was a member of Mobileread for over thirteen years. He averaged over 6 posts a day during those years. A knowledgable, kind and helpful member of the forum, he will certainly be missed.
My sincere condolences to his family and in-person friends for whom the loss is, of course, much greater. |
