macOS - open file directly in E-book Viewer
Does anyone happen to know of a way to open an ebook in the viewer simply by double clicking the icon in the macOS Finder?
The default action when opening an ebook file is to add to document to the Calibre library. When I change the default application to ebook-viewer.app in the Get Info dialogue I get the the following error when trying to open the book: ERROR: Could not open e-book: [Errno 2] No such file or directory Thanks so much. |

You need to specify the full path to ebook-viewer.app inside the calibre.app bundle and you should be fine.

I'm embarrassed to say that this was solved by a simple update to the latest version (At least I'm smart enough to know that when the developer himself takes the time to respond to your post, you never answer without upgrading to the latest version first.)
Kovid, I'm sorry for wasting your time on this. Thanks so much for such a fantastic piece of software. |
