Request for feedback on French translation
The french translation usually takes up more space than english. This causes some of the labels in the toolbar to be very long.

I was wondering if other users would prefer smaller labels for the french translation or if people are happy with labels as is.

In french :
La traduction française prend en général plus de place que l'anglais. Du coup certains boutons de la barre d'outils on un nom très long.

Je voulais savoir si d'autres personnes préféreraient des noms plus courts ou si vous préférez la traduction actuelle.

Par exemple "Ajouter des livres" pourrait être "Ajouter livre" ou juste "Ajouter"

I wouldn't alter the English because of the French. French is 20-30% longer than English.

Hello, I would really appreciate. I'm a real beginner but because of these very long labels, i did disable labels, although it's very convenient !

Cela ne me dérange pas des traductions plus courtes mais je ne pense pas qu'il faut réduire au maximum non plus.

Merci pour vos réponses.
Malheureusement, vu le faible nombre de réponse, je pense que la traduction va rester comme elle est actuellement. Ca représenterai un gros changement, et un sondage avec deux personnes ne permet pas vraiment d'avoir une vue d'ensemble

Le problème de changer les noms de la barre d'outils est que ça change aussi les noms aux autres emplacements (menu contextuel, etc...)

Are you discussing the Labels under the icon, or the Balloon help? Labels s/b shor. Baloon help more verbopse

This is about the labels in french where for example "add book" becomes "ajouter des livres"

But as stated above the translation will not be changed without more feedback. Problem being that a vast majority of the users never come to the forums
