Because we rarely get outright humour novels, so it's nice to get a bit of variety in the official publisher promo offerings. And from the customer reviews, apparently this one does juggle the POV-time apportioned reasonably fairly between most of the family members, fleshing out the extended cast of characters and their concerns and their own stories and not just making them a backdrop for the ostensible heroine's journey of self-discovery, so that's also a nice touch.
