ordered list cut of after epub->mobi conversion
HELP..
My ePub is formatted perfectly. I used Calibre to convert to MOBI, and everything looks great except for my ordered lists-- When I look at these on my Kindle Fire, the left side of the numbers is completely cut off. I've gone back to my epub and tried to add margins, padding, etc. and also messed endlessly with the conversion settings on Calibre, but I can't get it to move from the left. |

The Kindle does not support Margins.
Blockquotes are typically used for indented paragraphs. |

Ordered List Numbers Cut Off
So, I tried the blockquote tag in the format of:
<blockquote> <ol> <li>...</li> </ol> </blockquote> To, no avail... Thoughts? |

Download Bluefire Reader for Android and use that. Then you can read the ePub without having to go through the hassle of converting to Mobipocket where you have features in the ePub that do not translate well to Mobipocket.

Solution, sort of
I did find something that works. It doesn't look great on the Kindle, but at least the numbers aren't getting cut off. In Calibre, in the "extra CSS" section, I added this:
ol { text-indent: 1em; display: block; text-align: justify; margin-left:0; margin-right:0; margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0 } That solved it. |
