Free books come to Amazon.de
With the opening of the Amazon.de Kindle store has come the opportunity for free books. Now my German is a little rusty so hopefully I've got this right (feel free to post corrections and I will update this post).

I'm certain that some will be (when you publish a book via Kindle's platform you have the option to make it DRM protected or not - but not on a country specific basis).

If they are DRM protected in the US or UK - I reckon the same book will be DRMed in Germany too.

Look for:

Gleichzeitige Verwendung von Geräten: Keine Einschränkung

in the listing (under a heading called Produktinformation). I think that means the book is DRM free.
