I tried with a new .acsm file (realized the old one had been opened in ADE already) and that got turned into an .epub but I can't do anything with the file. Can't open it, can't convert, it's like a dead stone. Debug log: Spoiler:

Thanks for the bug report, that will be fixed with the next release.
EDIT: The Google Books issue. The post before this one from Bembo seems to have appeared out of nowhere after I wrote this one, it probably had to be published by a moderator. Last edited by Leseratte_10; 12-13-2021 at 10:48 AM. |

Where's the book from? Which shop did you buy it at, and what book is that? Or does this happen with multiple books from one shop? Do the free books from Adobe's sample library (linked in the 1st post) work? Can you create a new logfile while importing the ACSM file? You should be able to re-use the same one you already imported into Calibre before. Also, please enable the "Enable verbose debug logging" option in the plugin settings before you do that; and if possible send the log to me in a private message and not in this public thread. |

The Google Books issue is now fixed with v0.0.15. Also, the plugin now supports anonymous authorizations without an AdobeID. For more information see the changelog in the first post.

problem with ebooks.com
Hi,
I've installed the latest (0.15) version of the plugin but it imports into calibre as acsm, not epub. Downloads from the adobe site (tests) work fine. I attach the log. I don't think it is the NoDRM plug in as it works fine if I import via ADE 4.5 Please can you advise? Thank you |

Thanks for these logfiles.
The error in the "log.txt" (importing an ACSM file) is due to a misconfiguration on the distributor's servers. ADE apparently ignores that, my plugin doesn't and returns an error / aborts the import. I'm going to fix this with the next version to make it ignore these errors, too, and then that ACSM file should work. If you want to download this book right now, you can go into the plugin settings and disable the "Notify ACS server after successful fulfillment" option, and then it should work. You should enable that setting again afterwards, though. The second error (the one in "debugfile.txt") is the DRM removal failing due to a missing key. According to the log, you are running the original DeDRM 7.2.1, not the one from noDRM's fork. Try removing that plugin and install noDRM's fork and that should work. You could also export your account key from the ACSM plugin and import it into your current DeDRM version, but there's other PDF-related issues in that plugin so it's probably best to switch to the fork. Look at your post and in the bottom right hand corner is an "Edit" button and a "Quote" button. (In other people's posts' there will be only be a button saying "Quote" in that position)
Just click that edit button and the post is opened in the editor for you. Edit: the edit button will not be available until you have posted a few times to the forum. This is a bid to stop spammers. Last edited by georgemk; 12-16-2021 at 04:02 PM. Reason: Add the edit: section |

I had today also the problem, that the importof a acsm file into calibre did not download the epub but instead added the acsm itself.
Disabing "Notify ACS server after successful fulfillment" did allow the download correctly. I am using the version 0.0.15 of DeACSM. @Leseratte_10: If it would be helpful, I could give you the acsm file for analysis. |

I don't think the ACSM itself will help (since that's now linked to your account, I can no longer test it myself), but you can try to enable the "Notify ACS server" option again, and also enable the "Enable verbose debug logging" setting.
Then run Calibre in debug mode (click the arrow next to the Settings button then choose "Restart in debug mode"), import the ACSM file again, then close Calibre. A log file should now be displayed - just upload that to some pastebin site and send me the link in a private message (it's not recommended to post these publicly as they might contain account keys). Which shop is that ACSM file from? Do you know if this happens with all books from that shop or just this one? Maybe they have some free dummy books I could download to get some logs on my side.
