FWIW, I've been listening to the Patrick Tull narration and I'm quite enjoying it. Hardly surprising, I think I could listen to just about anything he read. Of course, I keep expecting them to take passage on The Surprise, captained by Jack Aubrey.
(That is such an obscure inside joke that no one but issybird is likely to get it. ) |

They only have so many voices! Of course it’s really books narrated by Simon Vance that set sail in the Surprise.
Much as I like Frederick Davidson, I always wished Tull had narrated more of the Sharpe books. He was the best of the Sharpes. He did a good Sherlock Holmes, too. |
